About Midnight Kiss

Hello, it is your dear friend R. Rose here. I have a secret to tell you.

I love dirty movies! All dirty movies. Gay, straight, softcore, hardcore. I love big budget erotic thrillers like Basic Instinct and X-Rated fair like Michael Zen's Blue Movie. I even more love the absurd, like Wash West's R-rated cut of The Hole or anything by Andy Sidaris. Oh, and let us not forget late night classics like Emmanuelle in Space or the more recent but no less fun Femme Fatales.

More than anything, I love talking about these movies as movies. Yes, I am that weirdo that could give you a film analysis of The Devil in Miss Jones with a straight face. This blog is a place for me to have those kinds of discussions. I want to talk about if Trailer Trash Nurses 4 works as a film as well as porn. Is there value Chi Chi LaRue's Total Corruption films? Is Michael Lucas's La Dolce Vita really art?  (The answers are probably going to no but who cares, surprisingly yes, and why is that movie 4 hours long!?!) Still, what I look forward to is getting to ramble about a genre of film that I feel gets no respect. I mean, sometimes that lack of respect is earned, but still...

So, if you are like me and love a good dirty movie, come and back and see what I have in store for you.

While the content I will be talking about will sometimes veer into the X-Rated, I do plan on keeping things here as Safe for Work as possible. Don't expect scene by scene breakdowns, and graphic detail on the ins and outs. Still, the subject will come up, so this blog is best read by those who are old enough to actually watch the movies.

For a more detailed explanation about me as a film watcher, and my personal approach to these kinds of films, check out this post.
